I spent most of Labor Day, laboring. I wish I could have been out on the lake fishing with my dad or perhaps on a short walk with my family, but instead I was working in our flower beds, trying to cut back our overgrown bushes and out of control monkey grass. Some people find that kind of work therapeutic… I don’t at all! However, just because I don’t enjoy it, doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile! Our flower beds look so much better after a few hours of sweat equity!
Galatians 6:9 says, “"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." I want to encourage you today to keep doing the good, hard work of following Jesus!
Keep doing the good, but hard work of extending love, forgiveness, and mercy. Following Jesus is not always easy, but it is always worth it! Don’t grow weary doing good, because the best is yet to come!
I love you and there is nothing you can do about it!
