If you’re new to our church and are interested in getting more involved,

this is a pathway to connecting you to what our church is all about!

Pathway meets the first three Sundays of every month in Classroom 1 of the Main Building from 9:00 - 9:45am. Once you’ve completed the three weeks, you should have a fairly complete understanding of what our church believes, how to grow your faith, and how to serve others!

In fact, the three sessions mirror our mission statement:

Love God. Love Others. Serve Both.

The Sundays

The first Sunday of the month gives you a basic overview of who our church is and what we believe.  It talks about our denomination, The Church of the Nazarene, and our key theological beliefs.  Additionally, we make space for you to ask questions!

The second Sunday of the month focuses on all the different ministries and spiritual growth opportunities our church offers.  This class will help introduce you to our ministry leaders and how you would go about getting involved.

We also will help guide you through a Spiritual Gifts test, which will help guide you into the third class!

The third Sunday of the month we focus on how you can serve others.  At Portland Nazarene Church, we believe that God’s grace isn’t just for us to enjoy, but to use in service to others, for the glory of God!  So during this time, we’ll talk about your Spiritual Gifts and how you might be able to use them in our church and community!

Take the Spiritual Gifts Discovery Assessment

We are going to examine what the Bible says about spiritual gifts and help you begin the process to discover your gifts and determine how to use them!

A Spiritual Gift Is

a special ability

given by God

for Christian service.

We hope

you join us!

The natural progression of Pathway is to begin on the first Sunday of the month, however, feel free to jump in at anytime, if you’d like!  If you cannot make the three consecutive classes,

feel free to make up any class you missed the follow month!
