On any given day, you could find Keegan doing one of many things. He has a love for knowledge and learning, whether that be from a hands-on task or a book. Reading, fishing, shooting, working on his truck, and traveling are a few things that Keegan loves.

Jane is a licensed Family and Marriage counselor, and both Dan and Jane have served Jesus in many roles from Youth Ministry, short term mission teams, Life Group and Bible Study Leaders and various leadership positions in the Churches they have attended.

Dan and Jane love doing life in Jesus, with each other and with others. Dan loves to fish, and Jane will tell you this is the one activity that she likes him to do with others! Hiking, singing, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, and walking alongside their two adulting children are all activities Dan and Jane love doing together. Dan and Jane are soon to welcome a new son to their family. Jose Castro and their oldest Kristen, are to be wed in California in late March of 2023. Jim, their youngest, lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky and has a steady girlfriend who is like a second daughter also.

Dan is co-vocational, working during the week as a Physical Therapist and serving as the Associate Pastor at PNC around that work schedule. You will see him serving in the Praise Team, leading our new Young Adult Life Group and intermittent short term Topical Studies, organizing a Short-Term Mission Team, greeting, disciplining regular attenders and members, and preaching as needed.

  • Amanda Long

    Children's Director

Amanda is married to Christopher Long. They met while he was home on leave from the Army and were married a year later. They have four beautiful children: Margaret, Hank, Charlie, and Catherine. Amanda loves to read, but she usually spends her time running her children to their many activities from hockey, football, and basketball, to gymnastics and golf. You may also find her planning various Girl Scout events as she leads a troop of 25 girls and serves as the local Service Unit Manager. Chris works for North American Stamping group. His favorite hobbies are taking the kids on new adventures and coaching their sports teams.

Amanda graduated from Cumberland University with a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 10 years before taking a break to raise her children at home. She did not grow up going to church.  She started attending Portland Nazarene Church because she was invited to friend day in 2020. From that day on she never looked back. Amanda has since been baptized, served in various groups including co-leading a discipleship group, and served as the interim children’s ministry coordinator from August 2022-July 2023. In August 2023 she became the Children’s ministry director and will begin taking courses in Family ministry in the fall. She has loved serving as the hands and feet of Jesus and can’t wait to see where He leads her and her family. One of her biggest joys is watching her children grow up knowing Jesus.
